  THIS NOTICE SUPERSEDES NOTICES # Q2007-25 and Q2007-29, dated January 24, 2007 and February 2, 2007, respectively.

Effective Sunday, February 25, 2007, CME® will implement the following Market Data Platform changes:

  • Add three new channels (channels 30, 31 and 32)
  • Leave Channel 20 untouched (reverses information detailed in Q2007-25)

These changes are being made to better manage bandwidth utilization.  Since several NYMEX/COMEX products were listed, bandwidth has occasionally reached peaks in excess of 3 mbps on channel 20.  The scalability of the Market Data Platform makes it possible to mitigate this situation through the addition of new channels and reallocation of products across those channels.
